Chancellor's Scholarships at the University of Hertfordshire

Chancellor's Scholarships at the University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire is an ambitious and entrepreneurial University with an international vision, putting students at the heart of what we do.

A key aspect of the University's mission is to prepare students for the global economy and to enhance international and multicultural understanding within the University and beyond.

In support of this mission, the University of Hertfordshire will offer 100 achievement-based partial international scholarships, worth £2,000 each, to international students taking up a place in 2011/12. These scholarships, known as the Chancellor's International Scholarships, are designed to support our international community and to ensure that the University continues to attract the most talented students from across the world.

All new full-time overseas fee paying international students with an offer of a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate programme for 2011/12 entry will be eligible to apply for the scholarships, which will be payable in the form of a £2,000 reduction against the first year's tuition fees. This scholarship is for new students only; students who are already studying on a degree programme at the University cannot apply for this scholarship.

The Chancellor's International Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential and the ability to make a significant ongoing contribution to the university community.

For full details of terms and conditions, award criteria, application guidelines and a downloadable application form, please see the links in the right hand menu.

The scholarship application deadline for students joining the University in September 2011 is 29 July 2011.

East Anglia International Student Scholarships

East Anglia International Student Scholarships
The University of East Anglia awards over £1,000,000 of scholarships each year to support international students in their studies. The awards are made by individual Schools of Study in the University. All international students (outside the European Union) are considered for a scholarship of between 10% and 50% of tuition fees.

In order to be considered for a UEA scholarship you do not need to make a separate application.  Please indicate on your application for admission that you wish to be considered for a scholarship.
It is important to make an application as early as possible because they are considered as they are received. So apply early to make sure of the best chance of success.  If you are granted a scholarship, you will be informed at the time you receive your offer of a place at UEA.

Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit and are normally for the duration of the period of study - three years for Bachelor and PhD degrees and one year for Masters programmes. They are available from all Schools of Study and across most courses of study.

Students of outstanding academic ability will also be considered for Faculty Scholarship Awards made by the Dean of Faculty, usually in April or May each year. These are highly competitive and prestigious awards.
